There are two types of rooms available at Sri Kamala Nivas; a standard and a deluxe size room. Guests wishing to stay in this guesthouse must book their accommodation in advance, and will be sent email confirmation. Check-out is 24 hours.
STANDARD ROOM
Our Standard air-conditioned room features two single beds, fan, built-in cupboards, wardrobe with rail and hanging space, and a built-in dressing table with large mirror. Each bed is made up with mattress, pillow and pillowcase, and top and bottom sheets.
If you wish to accommodate more than two adults, there is space in the standard room for one (1) extra bed or mattress.
The private, attached bathroom has geyser heated hot water, sit down toilet, vanity basin with large mirror, plus a western-style shower with additional bucket if you prefer to bathe in the traditional Indian manner.
There are power outlets in both room and bathroom which accept electrical appliances with plugs of the standard Indian two or three-pin variety. As electricity is 230V to 240V, 50Hz AC you may require a transformer and/or an adaptor to operate your personal electrical appliances. WIFI internet access is available in your room at a reasonable rate –please contact Front Desk to arrange connection.
Room rate for Standard room: Rs.1000/- per night, twin-share, inclusive of 3 meals daily.
DELUXE ROOM
Our Deluxe air-conditioned room has an additional m2 of space and can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. There will be two single beds initially provided in the deluxe room, but guests may request up to two (2) extra beds for this sized room if required. In addition to all the features of the Standard room, the Deluxe room features an attached dressing room with large mirror and dressing table. Each bed is made up with mattress, pillow and pillowcase, and top and bottom sheets.
The private, attached bathroom is identical to that of the standard room.
There are power outlets in both room and bathroom which accept electrical appliances with plugs of the standard Indian two or three-pin variety. As electricity is 230V to 240V / 50Hz AC, you may require a transformer and/or an adaptor to operate your personal electrical appliances. WIFI internet access is available in your room at a reasonable rate –please contact front desk to arrange connection.
Room rate for Deluxe room: Rs. 1300/- per night, twin-share, inclusive of 3 meals daily.
CHILDREN & EXTRA BEDS
All children under 8 years old can stay in their parent’s room free of charge.
Extra beds can be provided for adults and children over 8 years (where space allows).
Rate for each extra bed: Rs.400/- per bed.
IMPORTANT NOTE
In accordance with the moral values of the Sri Narayani Peedam, members of the opposite sex (above 12 years) are NOT permitted to share rooms at Sri Kamala Nivas unless they are married or are immediate family. Unmarried couples are advised to either take separate rooms (when space permits), or share a room with other members of the same sex. All guests are requested to respect this guideline at all times. Guests who fail to respect or comply with this condition will be required to find alternative accommodation outside the Sri Narayani Peedam as soon as possible.
SINGLE OCCUPANCY
No discount is given for single occupancy, however guests wishing to share a room with a member of the same sex are welcome to do so which would effectively halve the room rate for each person. Whilst we cannot guarantee that we can arrange this for you during your stay, we will do our best where it is possible.
PEAK SEASON ACCOMODATION
Please be aware that during busy periods (e.g. the months of December and January, May 8th Peedam Anniversary) demand for rooms at Sri Kamala Nivas is very high. In this instance all guests (except married couples and families) are asked to share rooms with others where possible in order to accommodate the large number of devotees wishing to visit the Peedam. Guests may also be asked to stay at the other Peedam guesthouses if number of devotees seeking accommodation is particularly high. However, once space becomes available, guests may move into other rooms if they wish.
At these busy times, those guests who do not wish to share a room with others may prefer to find alternative guesthouse or hotel accommodation in either Thirumalaikodi or Vellore.
