Making and receiving mobile phone calls from Peedam

Mobile phone coverage is excellent at Peedam and global roaming facilities work well, however, visitors may wish to use a local sim card in their phone.

To purchase a local sim card at Peedam, a photocopy of your passport is required together with one passport size photo.
Contact the front desk at Kamala Nivas to purchase a new local sim card and please leave a minimum of three days for processing.
For a small fee, it is also possible to convert the sim card to a lifetime card which lasts a minum of 12 years. This can be done upon request.
For international calls to Australia it is generally found that Vodaphone is the most appropriate carrier.
For calls to the U.S. and Canada, Airtel is best.
Booster packs are available for all mobile connections which reduce the call rates when calling abroad.
